"Buckwheat Polugar" is a traditional Russian bread wine, the progenitor of modern vodka.
It is produced by hand at the private distillery "Rodionov with Sons" according to the classic noble technology of the
18th century, similar to the production of malt whiskey. Mash is prepared from selected buckwheat,
which is distilled three times in a copper still, after which the noble distillate is thoroughly cleaned with fresh egg
white and birch charcoal.
"Buckwheat Polugar" has a soft, velvety, sweetish, warming, slightly spicy taste.
There are notes of buckwheat porridge, brine of lightly salted cucumbers, homemade baked goods,
field cereals and herbs, buckwheat honey, straw, bran and warm bread crumb. "Buckwheat Polugar" goes well with mushroom
noodles, pickle, goes well with a pig with buckwheat porridge, jelly, boiled crayfish, liver pancakes, blood sausage, stewed giblets,
fried buckwheat with mushrooms and onions, potato casserole, salted mushrooms.
