Glenrothes Single Speyside Malt, 1970 is a unique whiskey that is part of a new series of the oldest single casks from Glenrothes from the late 1960s and 1970s. The release of this unusual collection was made possible thanks to the found an old barrel of whiskey of unsurpassed quality from a private collector in Scotland.
The bottled 1970 whiskey was bottled on April 4, 2012. It is noteworthy that 1970 whiskey was chosen as an example of the highest elasticity and silkiness of taste. Only 179 bottles of 1970 were produced in total. The peculiarity of the whiskey from this collection is emphasized by its packaging. The recognizable shape of the Groenroots bottle has been slightly modified.
it is handcrafted from crystal by Atlantis Crystal craftsmen in Portugal. Brass from Scottish Silversmiths in Edinburgh was used for the hand-engraved collar on the decanter. The material and the added cut make the bottle an exquisite decanter.
