The Japanese company Suntory (Suntory) was founded in 1899. The founder of the company was Shinjiro Tori in honor 
of whom the company got its name. Santori was created to bring Spanish wines into the country, but in 1923 he began to 
show interest in whiskey, and near the city of Yamazaki he built the first distillery in Japan. The area where the distillery is 
located, with a cold and humid climate, is ideal for aging whiskey in barrels.

However, Suntory's whiskey received real recognition only in the 50s, after the Second World War. In 1973, a second distillery 
was opened in Hakushu - the very center of Japan. Today it is the largest in the world and is equipped with 24 distillation stills.

Yamazaki 18 years and other whiskeys produced by these two distilleries are blends with a light peat flavor and single malt 
whiskeys with a soft and well-balanced, elegant aroma: Suntory Royal, Suntory Reserve, Suntory Imperial, Suntory Yamazaki,
